GGLO is excited to announce our newly-promoted staff! These talented leaders bring abundant and diverse expertise to Architecture, Landscape, Interiors, and Planning. We value their commitment to community, design, and sustainability, and the impact they have made as leaders within the firm. Join us in congratulating:
David is a strong advocate for sustainability, focusing the past 20 years on sustainable design. A LEED Accredited Professional since 2002, David co-leads GGLO’s Climate Positive initiative, which concentrates on eliminating operational and embodied carbon emissions from all GGLO projects by 2030. He is currently part of BuildingGreen’s national sustainable design leader’s group. David brings more than 30 years of experience in retail, office, banks, schools, religious facilities, mixed-use multifamily, and hospitality. A collaborative and systems thinker, David is always looking for ways to achieve multiple benefits from design ideas, no matter where they come from.
Rachael enjoys creating spaces that positively affect the end-user and provide an environment which can thrive. She is technical, detail-oriented, and values an open collaborative environment. Rachael believes the most successful projects are those where teammates, disciplines, and clients work cross-functionally to achieve a dynamic design story.
As a Project Manager and Project Architect, Scott contributes to all project phases including design, code analysis, consultant coordination, plan/spec production, agency coordination/approvals, and construction administration. He is highly detail-oriented which allows him to predict and prevent problems before they arise. He believes every project has the potential to contribute positively to the natural and built environment, and he actively works to ensure that it does. To Scott, design is all about solving problems and making the world a better place.
Chris strives to provide the highest level of client care possible. He has an eye for organization and efficient detailing that allows him to deliver projects that exceed the client’s expectations while staying within budget. Chris believes an architect needs to think like a builder to truly understand how buildings function together. At GGLO, Chris has been a resource for Building Information Modeling (BIM) techniques and standards. Chris has worked on a diverse group of project types including corporate interiors, multi-family housing and higher education.
As an architect and planner, Mitch leads a diverse range of complex master-planned projects. His education in urban planning, architecture, and real estate development allows him to effectively bridge the gap between diverse groups of stakeholders. During his 10+ years of practice, Mitch has gained extensive experience in planning, urban design, educational, mixed-use, commercial, retail, and industrial projects. Prior to GGLO, he led entitlement approvals throughout North America for a large retail client. A native of rural Wisconsin, Mitch passionately believes that the best way to protect rural landscapes and open spaces is to embrace the creation of high quality, sustainable, urban communities that promote livable density.
Ray was a summer intern at GGLO before joining the firm full-time following his graduation with a Masters of Architecture from the University of Washington. With a passion for traveling, Ray tries to identify and understand key cultural meanings that enhance the built environment. This approach has found its way into his design process. Ray rigorously tries to understand the users’ demographic, social and cultural needs to enhance and engage people with their community. Coupled with his firm grasp of technical tools and sensitivity to human needs, Ray is effective at producing thoughtful architecture that promotes a positive, inclusive experience for users in any urban environment.
Robert has experience in resort architecture and construction, hospitality, high-rise, and high-end residential architecture. Since joining GGLO in 2012, he has been mentoring the younger staff, and working to increase the value of projects for the firms’ multi-family development clients, overseeing, documentation and construction administration.
Lexi has over 8 years of experience with a passion for design and a desire to create throughout all levels of a project. As a Wisconsin native, Lexi earned her Bachelors of Science in Architectural Studies and Masters of Architecture from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. Although the majority of her time has been spent in the Midwest, her project scope ranges from China, Canada, and all throughout the United States. She has experience in a wide range of project types including office spaces, tall buildings, multi-family residences, and senior living facilities. Her varying experience has allowed her to discover her passion for mass timber projects and she is excited to see this construction type become more prevalent in the industry.
Since joining GGLO in 2017, John has kept all three of GGLO’s offices running smoothly. As the firm’s Office Administrator, John uses his time management skills and efficient work habits to accomplish his daily goals. John’s years of experience in the hospitality industry have translated into his ability to coordinate firm-wide events, manage daily office operations, and complete the tasks on his long to-do lists—leading to positive interactions with other GGLO employees and anyone who interacts with our offices.
Danielle joined GGLO’s Boise office in 2020 with a passion for architecture and urban design. Her work is grounded in the ongoing pursuit of sustainable urban design at all scales. Originally from the east coast, her projects have focused on adaptive reuse of older building stock. She is particularly interested in how policy around land-use planning and housing affordability can shape a healthy diversity in our cities, while preserving our natural wilderness.
